Detroit Tourism Campaign

Many people still associate Detroit with low property values and high crime rates. What people don’t know, is that the city has turned a corner after recently emerging from debt. After decades in the dark, the city is now rising up and finally has something to share.

The City on the Rise campaign not only informs the country about the ongoing restoration of the old industrial city, but also brands it as an off-the-beaten-path tourist destination. Young and adventurous travelers are able to use the online and mobile website to discover everything from the history behind the name ‘Motor City’ to Detroit’s most hidden gems.

Accessibility Through Design

To drive consideration and awareness around Detroit tourism,

I wanted to increase the average person’s accessibility and knowledge around the cultural experiences available to visitors.

Users are able to book hotel rooms, plan their visits and share their itineraries directly from our website.

Promotional Video

With limited time and no former experience in video editing, I put together a short promotional video for Youtube and Facebook advertising.
